Audi Sportback concept car

What is it? The Audi Sportback concept is a four-door hatchback with coupe-like styling that is supposed to give a hint towards the future of Audi design. This coupe-like model has four seats and styling similar to the current A5 coupe and new A4 sedan. The luxurious interior is covered in leather, with wood accents and trim throughout. Power comes from a 3.0-liter diesel V6 that Audi says will meet the current U.S. emission limits as well as the 2014 European EU6 emission standard. Audi also claims the powertrain will return more than 39 mpg in the Sportback concept. It drives through a seven-speed automatic and sends power to all four wheels.
What’s new or notable? The diesel V6 is the same as the one used in the Q7 3.0 TDI in the U.S., where is makes 225 hp. For additional savings, the concept uses an automatic start-stop system to shut the engine down at traffic lights, as well as a system to recharge the battery while coasting.
