F1: Red Bull Vettel Ends Brawn Dominance at Silverstone

The young German and his team Red Bull Renault dominated proceedings at this weekend’s British Grand Prix with a one-two victory. Not only did Vettel lead the final race at Silverstone from start to finish, he also secured the fastest lap. Team mate Mark Webber and Brawn GP driver Rubens Barrichello may have joined Vettel on the podium, but this was very much his race.

Unfortunately, it was a less successful day at the office for Brits Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. Championship leader Jenson started and finished the race in 6th place after struggling with his car’s lack of downforce. Meanwhile Lewis’ dog, sorry, the McLaren MP4-24 gave him all sorts of vicious kick-back throughout the race, when he so much as put a tyre on the kerbs. The
